Tír Sáile Tír Sáile - The North Mayo Sculpture Trail is the largest public arts project ever undertaken in Ireland. It entailed the putting in place of fourteen site specific sculptures along the North Mayo Coast during 1993. It was inspired by Mayo 5000 which took place in that year. Mayo 5000 was a cultural celebration of the human imprint on the Mayo landscape over the previous 5000 years. |
